What excursions do you offer in Stromboli?
We offer two guided experiences: crater trekking (5 hours, up to 400 meters, €30 per person) and boat fishing tours (2 hours, also suitable for young children). Both depart from our office in Via Pizzillo, just a few steps from the hydrofoil pier.
What is the difference between crater trekking and boat fishing?
Trekking is a 5-hour hike with a 400-meter elevation gain, suitable for ages 10 and up with average fitness. Boat fishing is a relaxed 2-hour trip at sea, suitable for all ages and those who don’t want to tackle the climb. Trekking costs €30, while fishing has seasonal rates.
Are the excursions suitable for children?
Crater trekking is allowed for children aged 10 and over, as required by AGAI regulations for mountain guides. For younger children, we recommend boat fishing or a night visit to the Sciara del Fuoco from the sea. Reduced rate for children aged 10–12: €15.
Do I need to be fit to go on the excursions?
For crater trekking, you need average fitness: a 400-meter elevation gain on a steep path but without technical sections. Anyone who usually walks for 1–2 hours without problems can complete the climb. No physical preparation is needed for boat fishing.
What languages are the guides available in?
Our guides speak Italian, English, French, and German. When booking, you can request your preferred language and we will assign the corresponding guide. For large German-speaking groups, we recommend booking a few days in advance.
When can you go on excursions in Stromboli?
Crater trekking is available from Easter to early November, weather permitting. High season is June–September; in August, a minimum stay of 3 nights is required. Boat fishing follows the tourist season (April–October). The All Inclusive package (excursion + accommodation) is available from May to September.
